Effective January 1, 2023, non-bargaining unit employees of the Police Department and full-time and part-time employees of the Service Department shall receive an annual uniform allowance in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) in the month of July. Newly hired employees shall not be eligible for this uniform allowance until they have successfully completed their probationary period. Following the successful completion of their probationary period they will be eligible for this uniform allowance in the fiscal year following the completion of their probationary period. Employees who do not work the full calendar year shall receive a pro-rated uniform allowance for that year. In the event that an employee is terminated after receiving the employee’s uniform allowance payment, pro-ration shall be made from the employee’s final payout. (Ord. 2023-07. Passed 2-8-23.)
