147.06 EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE UNIT COORDINATOR.
   (a)   There is hereby established the position of Emergency Medical Service Unit Coordinator within the Fire Department of the Village of Woodmere.
   (b)   It shall be the duty and responsibility of the Emergency Medical Service Unit Coordinator to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
      (1)   Be responsible for and oversee the Emergency Medical Service Unit and report directly to the Chief of the Fire Department of the Village.
      (2)   Maintain all records related to the Emergency Medical Service Unit.
      (3)   Be responsible for the supervision of Emergency Medical Technicians and ascertaining that all certificates required are continued in good standing.
      (4)   Determine the necessary continuing educational obligations for Emergency Medical Technicians and make provisions for completion of any continuing education requirements.
      (5)   Be in charge of the assignment, stationing and scheduling of personnel.
      (6)   Be responsible for ordering supplies and maintaining necessary supplies for the operation of the Emergency Medical Service Unit.
      (7)   Be responsible for following up of any required in-service training of Emergency Medical Technicians.
      (8)   Review and maintain Emergency Medical Technician personnel records.
      (9)   Perform all other duties and functions as delegated by the Chief of the Fire Department or the Council of the Village.

   (c)    The Emergency Medical Service Unit Coordinator shall be appointed by the Mayor, serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and shall receive no compensation for such service.
