143.02 APPOINTMENT; COMPENSATION.

(a) The Mayor, subject to the confirmation of Council, shall appoint a Village Architect and Alternate Village Architect for terms of one year. Should no action be taken at the expiration of their terms, the Village Architect and Alternate Village Architect shall continue to serve until qualified successors are appointed and confirmed.

(b) The rate at which the Village Architect and Alternate Village Architect are to be compensated shall be established by Council.
