In January of each year, Council shall meet in the Council Chamber and organize. At such organization meeting, or as soon as practicable thereafter, the Council shall elect one Councilman as the President of Council and one Councilman as a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission, each to serve for the balance of that year and until his successor shall have been elected unless he shall cease in the meantime to be a Councilman.
Councilmembers who chair a standing committee shall be required to hold a public meeting quarterly. (Amended November 8, 2022)
