1501.13 CHARGE FOR FALSE ALARMS.
   (a)   Residential Users. No charge shall be made for the first or second false alarms annually or for a false alarm to which there is no response by the Police or Fire Department. A charge of ten dollars ($10.00) shall be made for a third false alarm annually and a charge of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) shall be made for each additional false alarm annually.
   (b)   Business Users. No charge shall be made for the first or second false alarm. A charge of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) shall be made for the third false alarm annually and, a charge of fifty dollars ($50.00) shall be made for each additional false alarm annually.
   
   (c)   Annual. As used herein, “annual” shall mean a calendar year.
   (d)   A “false alarm” shall be defined as an alarm without relevant cause or not notifying the fire department prior to working on, upgrading, testing, installing, or general maintenance to a system.
