(a) There is created the position of Village Deputy Plumbing Inspector. The Deputy Plumbing Inspector shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of Council.
(b) The Deputy Plumbing Inspector shall enforce all provisions of all ordinances relating to plumbing and plumbing equipment, and to make such inspections, and perform such tests, as may be necessary in the enforcement of such ordinances.
(c) The Inspector shall have the authority to order work stopped on the construction, alteration, or repair of plumbing equipment when the work is being carried out in violation of any ordinance. Work shall not be resumed after the issuance of a stop order except on written permission of the Deputy Plumbing Inspector, provided that, if the stop order is oral, it shall be followed by a written stop order within one hour.
(d) The Deputy Plumbing Inspector shall be paid an amount equal to fifty percent (50%) of the fees collected by his office relating to plumbing work carried out within the Village.
