§ 32.047 TERM OF OFFICE.
   The term of office of all elected public officials shall be the same as their official tenure in office. Other public officials shall serve until their successors are appointed and qualified. For other members, the term shall be 4 years ending on November 1 of the designated year, and terms of those first appointed shall be staggered so that a proportionate number serve 1, 2 and 3 years respectively, with later appointments or reappointments continuing the staggered pattern and November 1 date for a term of 4 years.
