It shall be the duty of the Director to serve or cause to be served upon the owner or occupant of any premises on which there is kept or maintained any nuisance in violation of the provisions of this chapter written notice of the violation(s), and to demand the abatement of the nuisance by a date certain in the Director’s discretion, which abatement period shall not be unreasonable in duration relative to the violation(s) to be abated.
