(A) Regular meetings of the Woodford County Fiscal Court shall be held at the Woodford County Courthouse, unless otherwise noticed, on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month, save for December, for which month there will only be 1 regular meeting, the first scheduled one. The first meeting of any month shall convene at 5:30 p.m., and the second meeting of the month shall convene at 7:00 p.m., unless otherwise noticed.
(B) However, if the regular meeting day or date falls on a legal holiday, the meeting shall be rescheduled.
(C) All meetings of members of the Fiscal Court at which any public business is discussed or any action taken shall be open to the public at all times, except as otherwise permitted by KRS 61.810.
(D) The Judge/Executive may call a special meeting of the Fiscal Court for the purpose of transacting any business over which the Fiscal Court has jurisdiction.
(E) Whenever a special meeting is necessary and the Judge/Executive is unable or refuses to act, a majority of the Fiscal Court may call it, if in their opinion the need exists.
(F) A special meeting may be called by the Judge/Executive or a majority of the members of the Fiscal Court by delivering personally, or by mail, written notice to each member and to each local newspaper of general circulation, each news service and each local radio or television station which has on file with the Fiscal Court a written request to be notified of special meetings.
(G) Notice of the special meeting must be delivered at least 24 hours prior to the time of the meeting as specified in the notice.
(H) If time does not permit giving 24-hour notice, then notice that is reasonable under the circumstances and calculated to inform the public shall be given the news media and the public.
(I) It shall be the responsibility of the Judge/Executive to prepare and distribute the proper notices.
