(A) During the course of conducting county business, it is often necessary to be an operator or passenger in a moving vehicle. It shall be the policy of the Woodford County Fiscal Court that any vehicle (personal or county-owned), being used to perform service on the county’s behalf, be operated in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations. This includes but is not limited to adhering to speed limits (unless an emergency or performance of duties dictates otherwise), proper use of seat belts and operating the vehicle in a safe manner. Violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action up to and including transfer of responsibilities not requiring use of a vehicle or termination of employment.
(B) Effective January 1, 2007, any personal use of employer provided vehicles may be taxable/reportable income. The value of the personal use will be determined and included in the wages of the employee.
