(A) Employees occupying regular positions may be granted up to 3 consecutive paid working days off in case of death in the immediate family.
(B) For the purposes of this policy only,
IMMEDIATE FAMILY shall include parents, grand- parents, spouse, brothers, sisters, children, immediate in-laws, stepfamily, foster family, or any person living in the same home as the employee on a regular, permanent basis.
(C) In the event an employee desires to extend leave beyond 3 working days due to a death in the immediate family, the employee may use accrued sick leave, holiday and/or vacation leave, or time without pay upon receiving approval from the County Judge/Executive.
