(A) Allocations. In the classification plan authorized by this chapter:
(1) Each position shall, on the basis of the duties and responsibilities of the position, be allocated to an appropriate class or level; and
(2) A class or level may include either a single position or 2 or more positions.
(B) Written position descriptions.
(1) Each class shall have a position description that includes:
(a) A concise, descriptive title;
(b) A description of the duties and responsibilities of positions in the class; and
(c) A statement of minimum qualifications for each position.
(2) All positions in a single class shall be sufficiently alike to permit:
(a) The use of a single descriptive title for the class;
(b) A concise description of the duties of each position in the class:
(c) Description of the same qualifications for each position;
(d) The use of the same tests of competence for each position; and
(e) Application of the same pay range to each position.
(3) Written descriptions are maintained by the Personnel Administrator and will be reviewed annually to determine appropriateness.
(C) Regular review/evaluation. At least once each year the County Judge/Executive or his or her designee shall review the classification of positions and may recommend combining classes, establishing new ones or abolishing unnecessary classes as the needs of the service require.
