After the effective date of this chapter, a family member of a county officer shall not be initially employed or appointed to a position in a county agency in Woodford County. This provision shall not apply to a public officer’s family member who, on the date of the officer’s election or appointment, has been employed for at least 6 months in county government or who has been serving on a county agency.
