Halls and corridors of buildings of multi-family occupancy above or below the ground floor serving as means of egress shall lead directly to a stairway leading to a means of egress to the exterior at ground level and such halls or corridors shall contain no dead ends extending more than ten feet beyond a stairway leading to the ground floor.
