§ 150.004 CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY.
   (A)   Any owner of property or applicant seeking issuance of a certificate of occupancy for any erected, constructed, reconstructed, enlarged or structurally altered building or other structure is required as a prior condition precedent to issuance of any certificate of occupancy for any such improvement to first file an unexecuted certificate of occupancy with the Benton Township Assessor.
   (B)   Any owner of property or applicant seeking issuance of a certificate of occupancy is required to obtain from the Village Building Inspector a certificate of occupancy form showing that the unexecuted certificate of occupancy has been filed, and that the property is subject to increased assessment from the date of issue of the certificate on a proportionate basis for the year in which the improvement was completed.
   (C)   The owner of the property or applicant shall contact the Township Assessor's Office for an appointment for an inspection. Upon completion of inspection, the owner of the property or applicant shall place on file an executed certificate of occupancy with the Village of Winthrop Harbor Department of Building. Upon completion of an inspection of said property by the Building Official and the issuance of certificate of occupancy, a certified copy of said document will be filed with the Benton Township Assessor by the Village of Winthrop Harbor through its Department of Building and Zoning.
