§ 120.15 BASIC BUSINESS LICENSE REQUIRED.
   (A)   All businesses located in the village shall be required to obtain an annual business license. This license shall be in addition to and not in place of any other license(s) that the particular business must obtain pursuant to statute or ordinance.
   (B)   As used herein, the word “business” shall be given the broadest meaning possible, including but not limited to any and all occupations, enterprises or other human or corporate endeavors that produce or are intended to produce income or other gain or monetary value.
   (C)   Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing herein shall be construed to require a business license from any duly-licensed attorney, as they are considered officers of the judicial branch of government under the laws of Illinois and cannot be locally regulated, licensed, or taxed.
   (D)   All businesses conducted from within the home or residence of the business owner or operator shall pay an annual license fee of $10. All businesses conducted from any location other than the home or residence of the owner or operator of the business shall pay an annual license fee of $25.
   (E)   The village shall not distribute any lists of businesses licensed except to not-for-profit enterprises (i.e., by way of example but not limitation, such entities as the Chamber of Commerce or Economic Development Commission) without the specific permission of the business owners on the list.
   (F)   It shall be unlawful to conduct any business in the village without having in effect a current and valid paid-for business license, and any person, firm or corporation that conducts such business in violation of this section shall be subject to the penalty provisions of § 120.99(B).
   (G)   All licenses required under this section shall be applied for and granted under the provisions of this chapter.
