(A) All residents within the village shall comply with all applicable provisions of the current contract between the village and the village’s designated single waste hauler, and any extensions or amendments thereto.
(B) The contract, as well as any extensions and amendments thereto, is on file with the Village Clerk and is hereby made part of this subchapter by reference.
(C) Notwithstanding the foregoing, two residences composed entirely of senior citizens (being persons having reached the age of 65 years) may jointly combine their garbage from their individual residences and share the expense thereof, and in such an event, the single waste hauler shall only bill and receive compensation for one residential service.
(D) A further exception is made for residents who leave their homes on extended vacations. In the event any residence is vacated by its residents for a period of more than 30 days in a row, that owner or occupant of that residence may so notify the single waste hauler in advance and in writing and this shall cause the hauler to suspend service to that residence. No charges shall be billed to the residence for any period of suspension pursuant to this division.
