505.16 CATS AT LARGE.
   (a)   No owner, keeper, or harborer of any cat shall permit such animal to go beyond the premises of the owner.
 
   (b)   Any cat found running at large in the Village may be captured and impounded by the Village. Upon impoundment, the Chief of Police or his agent shall deliver such cat to the County Animal Shelter where it will be held a minimum of seventy-two hours. The owner may redeem the cat while it is at the animal shelter or in the custody of the police.
 
   (c)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
