(a) No construction, reconstruction, alteration, improvement, enlargement or moving of any building or excavation for any of these purposes shall be started without a building permit having first been issued by the Code Enforcement Officer if the structure is located in a residential district.

Residential Structures:
(1) There shall be a twenty-five dollar ($25.00) application fee for each building permit issued for a structure in a residential district.

(2) The permit fee shall be ten dollars ($10.00) for each one hundred square feet of construction, reconstruction, alteration, enlargement or moving of any structure in a residential district.

(3) If the work being done on the structure does not increase the square footage of the structure the fee shall be ten dollars ($10.00) plus the application fee.

(b) No construction, reconstruction, alteration, improvement, enlargement or moving of any building or excavation for any of these purposes shall be started without a one hundred dollar ($100.00) zoning fee having first been paid to the Village and an inspection having been completed by the Code Enforcement Officer for any of the aforementioned purposes in any district other than a residential district.
