Any person who shall engage in traveling from house to house or place to place, on foot or by vehicle, and selling or offering to sell any goods, wares or merchandise, except country produce, and any article offered for sale by the manufacturer either sold or offered for sale by the manufacturer shall be deemed a peddler and before engaging in such business within the Municipality shall procure a license to be issued only on the approval of the Mayor or Chief of Police. Applications for such license shall be submitted in writing seven days prior to the anticipated period of soliciting or selling. Applications are to be filled out at the Municipal Building, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
