(a) The installation of any fire or intrusion alarm on any premises shall not constitute acceptance by the Municipality of any liability to answer alarms, to maintain any equipment, or for anything in connection therewith.
(b) In the event that the Police Department is responding or shall have responded to a premises from which the activation of an intrusion alarm has occurred, not involving a hazard to life, and are duly advised of the activation of an intrusion alarm or of the occurrence of any incident of any nature representing a hazard to life, and thus requiring urgent attention, they shall respond to such incident and shall be fully and completely absolved of all liability in the event that an examination of the premises at a later time were to disclose a violation of the building or its contents.
