§ 31.02 APPOINTMENT OF TOWN MANAGER.
   The Town Manager shall be appointed by majority vote of the Town Council for an indefinite term. The Manager shall be chosen by the Council solely on the basis of his or her executive and administrative qualification, with special reference to his or her actual experience in municipal government. At the time of his or her appointment he or she need not be a resident of the town or the state. No Council member or Mayor shall receive the appointment during the term for which he or she shall have been elected nor within one year after the expiration of his or her term.
