The Planning Commission shall consist of five members to be appointed by the Town Council. The terms of office of the members shall be for four years, except that of the five members first appointed, one member shall be appointed for a term of one year, town members for two years, one member for three years, and one member for four years. Any vacancy in membership shall be filled for the unexpired term by the Mayor, who shall also have the authority to remove any member for cause, on written charges, after a public hearing. All members shall serve without compensation but may be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred in connection with their official duties.
