It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to operate upon the streets or public ways of the town and taxicab or automobile for the conveyance of passengers for hire unless the vehicle has been duly licensed by the town as herein provided and the provisions of this and any other applicable provisions of this code have been complied with fully.
