12.24.020   Permit Application
   A.   Application. Application for an awning or rigid canopy building permit shall be submitted to the Director of Community Development on forms provided by the Director. The permit application shall also be considered an application for a certificate of appropriateness.
   B.   Contents of Application. The application shall include a description of the location of the proposed work by setting forth the street name and number assigned to the site; the name(s), address(es) and telephone number(s) of the owner of the site, the owner of the proposed awning or canopy, and, if any, the awning or canopy contractor; and shall be accompanied by plans and specifications showing: the position of each proposed awning and/or rigid canopy in relation to adjacent awnings, rigid canopies, signs, buildings and structures; the design and size, structural details, materials and colors, and placement on the premises of each proposed awning and/or canopy; current color photographs showing existing signs, awnings and/or rigid canopies on the premises and adjacent property, and the date on which the photographs were taken; and such other information as the Director or the Design Review Board shall require to show full compliance with this section and rules and regulations pertaining to awnings and/or rigid canopies. The information submitted by the applicant shall be in sufficient detail to illustrate clearly the design for which approval is being sought and its relationship to the building, structure or lot which it serves.
