Classification of vehicles for licenses required by this chapter shall be as follows:
Class A: | motor vehicles of thirty-five (35) horsepower or less for noncommercial purposes |
Class B: | motor vehicles of more than thirty-five (35) horsepower for noncommercial purposes |
Class C: | commercial vehicles for conveying loads of one ton or less and automobiles used for commercial purposes |
Class D: | taxicabs |
Class E: | commercial vehicles for carrying loads of over one ton |
Class F: | motorcycles |
Class H: | local governmental (does not include placePlaceTypeVillage of PlaceNameWinnetka vehicles) |
The horsepower rating of motor vehicles shall be determined in accordance with the standard rating prescribed by the Secretary of State of Illinois for the state registration of motor vehicles under the Illinois Vehicle Code.
License fees for each class of license shall be as set from time to time by resolution of the Village Council.
