A. Correction of the reported violations shall be accomplished within the period specified on the inspection report form in accordance with the following provisions:
1. If a critical violations exists, including but not limited to, those as may be created by an extended loss of water supply, significant lack of refrigeration, an extended power outage, or a sewage back-up into the establishment, or those assigned a weight of 4 or 5 points by the Illinois Department of Public Health and are identified by an asterisks on the inspection report form, it shall require immediate correction. If the critical violation is not or cannot be corrected immediately, all food-related operations shall cease and the license to operate shall be immediately suspended as provided for in this chapter. Such operations shall not resume until authorized by the Village Sanitarian.
2. All one- or two- point-weighted items shall be corrected as soon as possible, but in any event, by the time of the next routine inspection. Purchase orders or work contracts with a work completion date satisfactory to the Village Sanitarian may be accepted as interim corrective action.
3. In the case of temporary food service establishments, all violations shall be corrected immediately. If these violations are not corrected, the establishment shall immediately cease food operations until authorized to resume by the Village Sanitarian.
B. Failure to immediately correct a violation as provided in the foregoing subsection A shall result in the suspension of the license to operate.
C. Whenever a food service establishment or retail food store is required under any provisions of this chapter to suspend operations, it shall not resume operations until a re-inspection has been passed. Opportunity for re-inspection shall be offered within a reasonable time.
