Section 6.08.070   Records on impoundment.
   The Chief of Police or his or her agent shall, immediately upon impounding of any dog, make a record, entering the breed, color and sex of such dog and whether licensed, if known; and if licensed, he or she shall enter the name and address of the owner and the number of the license tag, if known, and if bearing an inoculation tag the number of such tag shall be recorded. When any licensed dog shall be impounded, the Chief of Police or his or her agent shall give notice in person, by mail or by telephone to the owner of such licensed dog, informing such owner of the impounding of his or her dog and the reason for such impounding.
