A. License. No person shall operate a public dance hall within the Village without a license and payment of the fee required.
B. Application for License. Application for such license shall designate the place, premises or building in which it is proposed to conduct such public dance hall and shall be accompanied by the blueprint plans of such building, showing the general type of construction, the type of support which is furnished the proposed dance floor and the number, size and availability of fire exits. The application shall also set out the name and address of the person applying for such permit and, if the applicant is a corporation, the names of the officers and managers of such corporation. The application shall also set out the time for which such license is desired, the hours in each day, and the days in each week during which dancing will be permitted.
C. Qualifications. No license shall be issued to any person who is not a person of good moral character nor to any corporation or firm whose officers and managers or any of them are not persons of good moral character.
D. Approval by Council. No license required by the provisions of this chapter shall be issued without the approval of the Village Council.
E. Inspection of Premises. No permit shall be issued for the operation or conduct of a public dance hall in any building or structure until the same shall have been inspected by the Director of Public Works and by the Fire Marshal and found to be safe for use as such public dance hall as regards strength of construction and as regards fire exits and fire escapes.
