There is created the office of Health Officer, an administrative office of the Village. The Village Manager shall appoint as Health Officer a person suitably trained or experienced in public health administration. The Council may contract with another agency which maintains a health department for health services as an alternative to a full-time Health Officer and staff.
The Health Officer shall be ex officio Chief Health Inspector.
