§ 91.04 REMOVAL.
   Whenever any police officer finds an abandoned motor vehicle or an unattended motor vehicle which is in a wrecked, dismantled, inoperable, junked or partially dismantled condition on public property within the city, he or she shall place on the vehicle a notice to remove within 24 hours or the vehicle will be towed. If the vehicle is not removed within the 24-hour time limit, the police officers are authorized to provide the removal of such motor vehicle to a garage or place of safety as designated by the city. A motor vehicle which causes an obstruction and hazard to traffic may be removed at any time under the direction of the Police Department.
