(A) No parent or guardian shall authorize or knowingly permit his or her child or ward to violate any of the provisions of this chapter relating to motorized bicycles.
(B) Any person violating any section of this chapter, in lieu of being charged for that violation in a court of competent jurisdiction, may pay a fine to the Clerk-Treasurer within five days after receiving notice of a violation. If the fine is not paid by the person within five days after being advised of the violation and his or her right to pay in lieu of being charged, the person shall be charged with the violation in a court of competent jurisdiction.
(C) It shall be the duty of the town’s departments to furnish a copy of the violation to the Clerk-Treasurer within 24 hours after the issuance of the violation.
