§ 73.04 EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   Lamps. Every bicycle operating upon a highway from one-half hour after sunset until one-half hour before sunrise, shall be equipped with a lamp on the front exhibiting a white light visible from a distance of at least 500 feet to the front and with a lamp on the rear exhibiting a red light visible from a distance of 500 feet to the rear; except that a red reflector meeting the requirements of this division may be used in lieu of a rear light.
   (B)   Brakes. Every bicycle shall be equipped with a brake which will enable the operator to cause the braked wheels to slow down and stop on dry, level, or clean pavement.
