(a) The carrying of weapons shall be prohibited in or at the Winfield City Municipal Building. Weapons shall be defined to include all firearms. Weapons shall also include all knives, blades or explosives. The exception to this would be pocket knives with blades less than three (3) inches long. In addition, firearms may be carried by licensed active duty police officers, or any employee with written authorization granted by the Mayor and the Winfield Chief of Police. This authorization may be revoked in writing by either the Mayor or the Winfield Chief of Police or both.
(b) Any individual violating this statute shall be fined $100.00 for the first offense, $250.00 for the second offense, and $1,000.00 for the third offense.
