The Building Official shall examine premises for which permits have been issued and shall make necessary inspections to see that the provisions of building laws, this code and other ordinances are complied with and that construction is prosecuted safely. The Building Official shall, when requested by proper authority, or when the interest of the Town so requires, make investigations in connection with matters referred to in this article and render written reports thereon to the Mayor. The Building Official or a duly appointed deputy or assistant, shall make the inspections required under the provisions of this article. The Building Official and any duly appointed deputy or assistant, shall have the authority to enter any building, structure or premises at any reasonable hour, upon compliance with applicable provisions of law.
