(A) Unless exempted from state registration as provided in I.C. 14-16-1-8, no snowmobile shall be operated on any public property in the city until such time as it has been registered with the Police Department. The Chief of Police shall maintain a file of all registered snowmobiles to be cross-referenced with Indiana State Registration Numbers.
(B) The Chief of Police or his designee shall furnish each person registering a snowmobile under this section with a copy of the Indiana State Laws governing the operation of snowmobiles, a copy of the regulations as provided in this chapter, and a map of permitted routes of snowmobile operation.
