3-3-4: PREMISES REGULATIONS:
   (A)   Sanitation; Appliances: All places within the Village now being used or hereafter to be used as barbershops, together with the furniture, fixtures, tools, implements, linen and other appliances shall be kept in a clean and sanitary condition at all times.
   (B)   Running Water: Every barbershop shall be equipped with and use running hot and cold water.
   (C)   Towels: At least one clean towel, one clean face cloth or sanitary paper shall be used for each customer.
   (D)   Powder Puffs: The common use of powder puffs or sponges is hereby prohibited.
   (E)   Astringents: No alum or other astringent shall be used in stick form. Such astringent, if used at all, must be used in powder form.
   (F)   Sterilization Of Instruments: All hair brushes, hair dusters, shaving brushes, shears, razors, combs and other tools and appliances used in the conduct of the business shall, after use on each person, be sterilized by formaldehyde, immersion in boiling water, in alcohol of at least twenty five percent (25%) strength, or other approved disinfectant.
   (G)   Head Rests; Towels; Shaving Appliances: No owner or employee of any barbershop shall permit any person to use the headrest of any barber's chair or hair-dressing chair under his control unless said head rest shall be covered with a clean, fresh towel or sanitary paper for each customer. Shaving mugs, including shaving soap and brushes, must be thoroughly scalded before being used for each customer. (Ord. 61-O-43, 6-26-1961)
