921.07 TAP-IN CHARGES FOR CONNECTION TO CITY OF EUCLID SEWER SYSTEM.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Certain areas within the City of Willoughby Hills are served by sanitary sewer which discharge generated sewerage into the existing City of Euclid sanitary sewer system for treatment by the City of Euclid in its wastewater treatment facilities. A sewer service agreement with the City of Euclid is in effect and periodically updated for said service privileges.
The service agreement with Euclid mandates payment of a non-refundable fee of three hundred dollars ($300.00) plus the cost of any necessary engineering services required and incurred by Euclid to determine acceptance of all requests for a sanitary sewer connection. The fee of $300.00 is collected by Willoughby Hills before any permit is issued to make a sewer connection. The fee of $300.00 is based upon a typical single-family residential sewage flow of 400 gallons per day. The tap-in fees for all other uses or discharges are prorated against the $300.00 fee depending upon the sewage flow generated and calculated pursuant to accepted Ohio EPA and engineering practices.
A copy of the current service agreement between Willoughby Hills and Euclid is available for review.
