In lieu of the Board created with the duties and powers set forth in this chapter, the Mayor or chief executive officer, may, with the consent of the Council or legislative body, designate any existing administrative board or commission to be vested with the powers granted said Board of Building Code Appeals and to carry out and perform the duties of such Board.
