All public buildings and institutions, industrial, commercial and recreational buildings or establishments, or any other buildings and structural facilities or establishments that are open to the public shall have posted therein or about the premises, in a reasonably conspicuous manner and in appropriate places, the telephone numbers of the Divisions of Police and Fire and of the emergency rescue services thereof. The Director of Public Safety, through the Chiefs of the Divisions of Police and Fire, shall prescribe appropriate standard signs and recommended posting procedures in order to carry out the intent and purpose of this section.
