111.03 DEPUTY CLERK OF COUNCIL.
   There is hereby created the position of Deputy Clerk of Council who shall be an officer acting under the direction of and in the absence of the Clerk of Council, and who, in the absence of the Clerk of Council, shall be empowered and authorized to exercise all of the powers and obligated to perform all the duties of the Clerk. The person serving as Deputy Clerk of Council shall be appointed by a majority vote of the Council, shall serve at the pleasure of Council and shall be paid such compensation as may be established by ordinance.
