509.07 DUTIES REGARDING ALARMS.
   (a)   Definitions. As used in this section, certain terms are defined as follows:
(1)   "False alarm" means the activation of afire, burglary and/or robbery alarm for the purpose of summoning the Police Department and/or the Fire Department at a time when no fire, burglary and/or robbery is being committed or attempted on the premises.
(2)   "Person" means any natural person, firm, partnership, corporation or unincorporated association.
(3)   "Premises" means any building, structure, enclosure, real property or vehicle.
(4)   "Reasonable time" means one-half hour from the time of being notified.
(5)   "Owner" means any person(s) who is the legal owner(s) of the business establishment.
(6)   "Manager" means the person who is responsible for managing the operation of the business establishment.
(7)   "Person in charge" means the person who is in charge of the business in the absence of the owner and/or manager.
(8)   "Emergency Response Card" means the list filed with the Police Department and/or Fire Department of the telephone numbers at which the person(s) authorized to enter such premises and turn off such alarm can be reached at all times.
   (b)   No person shall notify the Police Department and/or the Fire Department of an activated alarm, with knowledge that such activation was apparently caused by an electrical or other malfunction of the alarm system, and fail at the same time to notify the Police Department and/or the Fire Department of such apparent malfunction.
   (c)   No person shall have or maintain on any premises, except a vehicle, a fire, burglary and/or robbery alarm unless there is a list filed with the Police Department and/or Fire Department if there is a fire alarm, of the telephone numbers at which the person(s) authorized to enter such premises and turn off such alarm can be reached at all times. Such record shall be known as the Emergency Response Card. No such person shall fail to appear and turn of any such alarm within a reasonable time after being notified by the Police Department and/or the Fire Department to do so.
   (d)   Whoever violates any provision of this section is guilty of a making false alarms, a misdemeanor of the first degree.
