The following provisions are supplementary requirements to the Residential Code of Ohio for One, Two and Three Family Dwellings as adopted.
(a) Roof and Yard Drainage. Unless otherwise specifically approved in writing by the Chief Building and Zoning Inspector, roof drainage shall be handled by suitable collectors and downspouts which shall discharge onto splashblocks. No excess storm water shall flow onto adjoining property or over sidewalks.
The storm drain outlets carrying roof water shall not be directed toward a side yard and shall not be connected to footer drains. Connection of any pipe carrying roof water, yard drainage, or any other drains to a sanitary sewer is prohibited.
