(A) After the effective date of this section, the Office of Recorder or Judge of the Corporation Court shall be filled by appointment by the City Council.
(B) The Recorder or Judge of the Corporation Court shall perform the duties as prescribed by the laws of the state.
(C) The Recorder or Judge shall be appointed for a term of office running concurrently with that of the Mayor. He or she shall receive any compensation as the City Council shall fix by ordinance or resolution and shall furnish any surety bond as may be required by the City Council, the premium to be paid by the city.
