The rules and regulations set out in this chapter apply to the use of all city parks and playgrounds located within the city, and are consistent with applicable state statutes, including Tex. Loc. Gov't Code, Ch. 331, and have been adopted by the City Council for the purpose of providing for the safety of persons in the city. The City Public Works Department shall continue to be responsible for park maintenance.
