Improper maintenance of interceptors usually results in the release of excess quantities of grease and oil to the sewer lines resulting in a gradual buildup of solids restricting flow. Interceptor users may be responsible for costs associated with cleaning sewer lines impacted by excess grease and oil buildup in the sewer lines.
