Grease, oil, sand, and lint interceptors shall be provided when, in the opinion of the city, they are necessary to prevent grease in excessive amounts, flammable wastes, sand, lint, or other objectionable waste from entering the sanitary sewer system. All interceptors shall be of a type and capacity approved by the city and shall be located as to be easily and safely accessible for cleaning and inspection. All interceptors shall be continuously maintained in satisfactory and effective operation by the industrial user at the user's expense.
