§ 37.03  DISASTER PAY.
   (A)   City employees working during a state of disaster declared pursuant to Tex. Gov't Code, § 418.108 may be eligible, subject to the discretion of the City Council, to receive disaster pay at a rate equal to one-half the employee's ordinary rate of compensation after 40 hours per week. Disaster shall not be paid until authorized by action of the City Council following an emergency declaration. Unless otherwise provided therein, an authorization of disaster pay shall be retroactive to the beginning of the state of disaster.
   (B)   Supervisors and other city employees who are exempt from the requirements for overtime compensation may receive disaster pay in addition to their ordinary compensation.
