(A) Duties. The duties of the Stormwater Management Committee shall be to develop a stormwater management plan with the support of the County Land Use Department and the County Planning and Zoning Commission. The Plan shall be based on natural drainage areas. The various watersheds shall form the basis for the development of the county-wide plan. Sub-watersheds and natural drainage areas shall also be defined and all long range improvements and plans shall be based on these natural drainage areas. The plan and subsequent improvement programs shall be presented to the County Board for their approval, after review by the Planning and Zoning Commission. The Stormwater Management Committee shall direct the plan’s implementation and revision.
(B) Powers. The powers of the Stormwater Management Committee shall be as authorized by ILCS Ch. 55, Act 5, § 5-1062.
