(A) There is established a Machine Records Department, which shall operate in and from the quarters and space assigned to it by the Committee on Public Property of the County Board, to which Committee the Machine Records Department shall be subject for administrative purposes.
(B) It shall be the responsibility of the Machine Records Department to manage and control the processing of information and records for the benefit of the various county officials, offices and departments by means of any specialized equipment and machines that may be owned or procured by lease or purchase for this purpose, by the County Board.
(C) The services of the Machine Records Department shall be available at all reasonable times to all officials, offices and departments of the county, subject to scheduling by the Machine Records Department head; and the costs of any services rendered by the Machine Records Department shall be charged pro rata to the officials, offices and departments making use thereof, by the County Auditor.
(D) The Machine Records Department shall be under the supervision of a qualified department head appointed by the Chairperson of the County Board with the approval of the Board, and staffed with any personnel the Department head and the Committee on Public Property with the approval of the Board, deem necessary.
